On Tuesday 27 February, the College had the pleasure of welcoming back former staff member, Brother David Quigley S.M. a Marianist Brother currently visiting Melbourne from the US. Br Dave taught and held various leadership responsibilities initially at Marianist College for boys and then John Paul College after the merger with Stella Maris College. He arrived at the McMahon’s Road site in December 1974 and continued his ministry at Marianist/JPC until the Marianist community left Australia in 1987. Tony Clough, a Marianist Alumnus and current parent, fondly remembers Brother Dave's influential role as a mentor not only to him but also to his fellow classmates at the time. Principal John Visentin, led Br Dave and Tony on a nostalgic tour through the College grounds, discussing stories from the early years of the College and highlighting the significant changes and upgrades the College has undergone throughout the years.
