Faith and Mission is at the core of College life at John Paul College. We are guided by the gospel values to be inclusive, compassionate, just and forgiving.
As a Catholic co-educational College, we strive to prepare our students for managing, respecting, and understanding the diversity they will encounter in the world.
Inspired by the teachings of Jesus we welcome students and staff from all faiths and backgrounds, valuing all members of our community.
Faith and Mission at our College is underpinned by and built on the Catholic Social Teaching principles:
We are a vibrant and dynamic faith community, honouring the traditions of our founding religious orders, the Marianists, and the Faithful Companions of Jesus, whose emphasis on companionship, courage, gentleness, hope, nurturing, respect, and belonging to a community where faith and values are important, continues to enliven and inspire us.
We are a community living out our faith through our social justice activities, a rich prayer and liturgical life, and the development of House spirit, with our Houses honouring the faith of our founders.
We hope our students experience a sense of belonging, allowing them to enjoy the fullness of life, and in turn, extend this to others, supporting new students and all members of our community to feel they belong and can grow in their faith.
