SIS Division A Swimming Carnival

The John Paul College swim team headed to the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre earlier this term and competed in the SIS Division A Swimming Carnival.

Students competed in a variety of individual and relay events, trying their best and encouraging one another throughout the day. JPC finished in 6th position overall. A phenomenal effort from the 50 students involved, who had only competed in our House Athletics carnival the previous day.

A special shout out and thank you to our Year 12 swimmers, who swam their final SIS carnival - Josh, Emily, Jai, Kirill, Tahlia, Niña and Luca.

Congratulations to all involved!

Nova Star Aerobics Team head to State Finals

The College is proud to announce that our College's 'Nova Stars' Aerobics team, comprised of talented students from Years 7 to 9 - Anisha, Nina, Shayla, Abbie, Lily, and Matilda, under the expert guidance of coach Tayla from Year 11, have qualified for Victoria State Finals!

Special congratulations to Lily and Abbie for their breathtaking Duo routine, skillfully coached by Tayla, which has also secured a place in the Vic State Finals!

These student's dedication, teamwork, and passion have truly shined, and we couldn't be prouder! Let's keep the momentum going as we head towards the finals! Go 'Nova Stars'!

Athletics Victoria All Schools Cross Country Relays

A squad of sixteen runners represented John Paul College at the Athletics Victoria All Schools Cross Country Relays. Students each completed a 3km leg of a very foggy course at Jells Park. Congratulations to our under 14 boys team who placed 11th, our under 16 girls team who placed 18th and our under 16 boys team who placed 12th. Aidan in Year 10 and Harry in Year 8 blitzed the course and each achieved sub 11 minute times.

Well done to all students involved and thank you to our parents for supporting our students bright and early on your Saturday morning! A big shoutout to Billy in Year 9 who came to support his sister but ended up filling in at the last minute to ensure a team was full- now that is team spirit!
