House Music is a beloved John Paul College tradition where Houses compete for the title of best performance. This year, the College dedicated an entire afternoon to this exciting event! To make it extra special, the festivities kicked off with lunchtime music, a sausage sizzle and art activities including rock painting, chalk drawing and nature weaving.
Students and staff then gathered in the Kealy Centre for an exciting showdown as the Houses competed for the 2024 House Music Champion title. With this year's theme, "Iconic Songs from Film," the Houses showcased their creativity with a selection of classic hits from films including High School Musical, Footloose, Barbie, Ghostbusters, Pitch Perfect and Men In Black.
The House Music competition highlighted the exceptional talent, creativity, and enthusiasm of our students, presenting our judges with the challenging task of selecting a winner. After careful consideration and deliberation Olsen House was declared the 2024 House Music Champion! Chaminade House secured second place, Turner House took third, and D’Houet House came in fourth place.
If the amazing performances from our talented students weren’t enough, our wonderful staff surprised the students with a flash mob dance and the looks of shock and joy on their faces were priceless! It was a fantastic way to celebrate our school community and show that learning and fun go hand in hand.
