Earlier this term, the Time & Space evening provided a unique opportunity for Year 8 students and their fathers, or male mentors, to come together and reflect on the journey they’ve shared so far. This innovative program was designed to create lasting memories and deepen the bond between fathers, grandfathers, uncles, or family friends and their children during these important teenage years.
Facilitated by Ray Messer, an experienced leader with over 20 years of experience working with parents and adolescents worldwide, the night offered families the chance to pause and reflect on their children’s transition into adolescence. Participants took part in discussion groups and one-on-one conversations, offering a space to share insights and experiences.
The treasured item tradition saw fathers bring a meaningful object - such as a memento or photo - that symbolised their relationship with their child. This heartfelt addition added an emotional layer to the evening, making it even more special.
The Time & Space event was an unforgettable experience, offering our community the chance to reflect, connect, and share in the joys and challenges of growing up. The memories created during the evening will no doubt stay with families for years to come.
