Olivia heads to Italy for Dragon Boating

Olivia, a Year 12 student, has been selected to participate in the Club Crew World Championships (CCWC) for Dragon Boating. The competition takes place in Ravenna, Italy, in September.

Olivia’s club qualified for CCWC by earning points at last year's AUSChamps in Albury-Wodonga, securing a Mixed 10s boat and an Opens 20s boat. This year, at AUSChamps in Perth, they qualified an additional Mixed 20s boat, bringing the total to three boats. The boat sizes indicate the number of paddlers: a 20s boat has 20 paddlers, while a 10s boat has 10 paddlers, each also including a drummer and a sweep.
