It has been a very busy but rewarding Semester in the Senior School. There have been so many achievements across Years 10-12 and we are very proud of the efforts of students.

STEM WEEK

Students in Years 7 & 8 engaged in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) week, an event that sparked creativity, encouraged imagination, and fostered teamwork skills. The week featured a variety of activities aimed at challenging minds and promoting collaboration within teams.

VM Students Engage in Creative and Community Projects

VM students have immersed themselves in practical learning experiences outside the traditional classroom setting. They recently welcomed local police officers, igniting an interest in law enforcement. Additionally, students collaborated with Skye Lodge residents to compose songs for an upcoming performance. Furthermore, they participated in a TRAG session aimed at promoting road safety awareness.

Congratulations to our Aerobics team for competing at State Finals! Lily and Abbie won their Duos section and will compete at Nationals in Adelaide!

Year 9 MUSE City Experience Program!

Our Year 9 students had an incredible week exploring the streets of Melbourne CBD as part of their MUSE City Experience Program! MUSE is all about broadening our students' learning horizons and providing them with an opportunity to develop an appreciation of the magnificent city of Melbourne.

Community Companion Food Drive: Donate and Support Our Community

The College, Community Companion Food and Outreach Van is currently in need of donations of non perishable foods and snacks before Winter starts.

This food drive will run from the start of May, and into Winter.

FCJ Young Women's Group

The FCJ Young Women's Group is a group for female students at John Paul College. The group gathers every Tuesday at lunchtime in the Chapel. The FCJ Young Women's Group aims to foster a supportive community where JPC girls and young women can have fun, connect, and form friendships. The group has a strong faith-based history and is named after the faithful companions of Jesus Sisters, who have dedicated decades of service to support communities and the education of young women and girls, including helping to found John Paul College.

Celebrating Our Heritage: New Signage Honours Key Figures in College History

Exciting new signage has recently been installed around the College, adding a touch of history and recognition. Students and staff may have noticed and read through, the building recognition signs that have appeared, each highlighting important figures from our College's history. Individuals such as Fr. Joseph Kealy, Sr. Honor Mary Stewart, FCJ Marie Madeleine de Bonnault d’Hoüet, William Joseph Chaminade, and Stella Maris College for girls each form part of our rich history. The College has honoured these significant figures and institutions by naming buildings after them, encouraging our community to learn about their impact on our College.
