FCJ Young Women's Group

05 June 2024

The FCJ Young Women's Group is a group for female students at John Paul College. The group gathers every Tuesday at lunchtime in the Chapel. The FCJ Young Women's Group aims to foster a supportive community where JPC girls and young women can have fun, connect, and form friendships. The group has a strong faith-based history and is named after the faithful companions of Jesus Sisters, who have dedicated decades of service to support communities and the education of young women and girls, including helping to found John Paul College.

Youth Minister, Somer Randall

"The group has been running for many years and this year, I, as one of the Youth Ministers, am running the group. Every week, I organise various activities such as card making, origami, playing cards and board games, and my personal favourite - creating handmade blessing bags for the homeless and those facing poverty in the Frankston area.

I highly recommend all female students come along! It's a relaxed and enjoyable experience – you don't have to stay for the entire lunchtime, and you can come with friends or alone. There's no need to sign up, show up when you feel like it! Snacks such as popcorn and cookies will be provided.

For more details or any questions, feel free to email me at somer.randall@jpc.vic.edu.au.

Additional information about the group is available in the daily notes on SIMON, which are updated weekly to inform about our upcoming activities!"
