Farewell to our Class of 2024

22 October 2024

The final day for our Year 12 students was a heartfelt occasion, marking the end of their secondary school journey at John Paul College. The day was filled with tears, cheers, laughter, and joy as these remarkable young adults reflected on their experiences and cherished lifelong friendships. The College takes immense pride in their achievements, from academic successes to personal growth.

At the Year 12 Final Assembly, the Light of Leadership ceremony symbolised the transition of leadership as the 2024 Leaders passed a candle to the incoming 2025 Leaders. In return, the new leaders presented a gift to their predecessors as a token of appreciation.

The assembly also celebrated the 2024 House Shield winner. Congratulations to Turner House for securing the 2024 Rick Van Duppen House Shield! This award honours Mr. Van Duppen, a passionate advocate for House Spirit who encouraged everyone to "just have a go." Turner leaders Dylan and Nina proudly accepted the award on behalf of their House.

The celebrations concluded with the Year 12 Graduation Mass, bringing students, staff, and families together to reflect on the journey and accomplishments of the graduating class. It was a meaningful end to their time at John Paul College, filled with gratitude and hope for the future.

We wish the Class of 2024 all the best as they move forward into the next chapter of their lives.
