VCE at John Paul College is an exciting time for students as they strive to achieve their desired results in learning, establishing the required skills, knowledge, and personal traits necessary for life beyond secondary school.
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome students and their families to VCE at John Paul College for 2025.
The VCE and learning in the Senior School requires students to take greater ownership of their learning and to be active learners in and outside of the classroom. By encouraging you to be diligent, resilient and to take on challenges with confidence and optimism, we support you as you strive to achieve your personal best. To ensure a smooth progression as you enter your VCE journey, there are a number of external rules and regulations that need to be adhered to as prescribed by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA).
Below, you will find a link to the VCE Student and Parent Handbook. The purpose of this handbook is to ensure you have a resource that clearly outlines procedures, expectations and timelines related to the VCE. We encourage you to continually refer to this page and the relevant school policies and procedures. Our teachers and staff are here to support you in your learning as you progress through this exciting time in your education.

Achieving success in VCE requires a balanced approach to study, health, and wellbeing. Here are some key strategies to help you stay on track:
At John Paul College, we believe in fostering open and positive communication between parents, guardians, and our staff. These simple guidelines will help you connect with the right person, ensuring your questions are answered efficiently and respectfully. We are here to support you and look forward to working together to create the best experience for our students.
Our Careers Advisor is available to meet with each student to discuss university or TAFE options, as well as different pathways available after graduation. Career conversations cover program choices for Years 11 and 12 and transition strategies for further education, training, or work. To support students in making plans for after graduation, whether it be tertiary studies or employment, our Careers Advisor is available throughout the year to assist students in planning their first steps beyond the College gates.
