Our Year 12 VCE Vocational Major (VM) students have recently participated in two unique and enriching excursions, each offering valuable learning experiences beyond the classroom.

Earlier this term, the Time & Space evening provided a unique opportunity for Year 8 students and their fathers, or male mentors, to come together and reflect on the journey they’ve shared so far. This innovative program was designed to create lasting memories and deepen the bond between fathers, grandfathers, uncles, or family friends and their children during these important teenage years.

After having been rescheduled from the start of term due to extreme heat, the 2025 Middle School Swimming Carnival was held on Friday, 25 March, at Pines Forest Aquatic Centre. Year 7, 8, and 9 students came together for a day of friendly competition, taking part in 25m and 50m races, relays, and novelty games, all while earning points for their Houses.

Students from all year levels embraced the challenge of the 3km House Cross Country course, racing around the College grounds in pursuit of valuable House points. Some students pushed for their fastest times, while others took a more relaxed approach, completing the course at their own pace.

On 28 February, as part of the Clean Up Australia Day Schools event, 66 students took part in a Lunchtime Clean-Up, dedicating half of their lunchtime to making a real difference in our College environment. In that short time, they collected an incredible 6 bags of waste, weighing a total of 11kg.

Year 11 student Molly P is currently on an exciting year-long exchange in the United States, experiencing life as a junior at Creekview High School in Georgia. Immersing herself in a new culture, school system, and way of life, Molly has embraced every opportunity that has come her way.

The highly anticipated Year 10 Formal is just around the corner, promising an unforgettable evening of celebration! This is your chance to dress up, hit the dance floor, and enjoy a night filled with fun, music, and memories with your friends.

John Paul College is delighted to offer Year 7 students and their Mothers/Female mentors an opportunity to experience a lifetime memory with their child at the annual ‘Mother and Child’ Time and Space night.
